Body Contouring & Cellulite Reduction

Ultrasound Cavitation

Ultrasonic cavitation or ultrasound cavitation is an FDA-approved nonsurgical fat reduction procedure that uses ultrasound to destroy fat cells in targeted areas—typically the arms, belly, love handles, thighs, or chin. While it is a non-invasive alternative to liposuction, unlike lipo—which can produce results in a single session—you’ll need multiple (as in up to 12) ultrasonic cavitation treatments to see changes. You’ll also have to wait up to three months for your body to flush the fat before seeing your final results. The real benefits of ultrasonic cavitation over liposuction are the significantly lower cost, and lack of downtime. After care for liposuction  includes wearing compression garments for up to 6 months, and 2 weeks or longer refraining from normal daily activities, along with multiple follow up doctor's appointments.  Multiple sessions of manual lymphatic drainage massage are highly recommended pre and post liposuction as well to reduce swelling and bruising and to speed recovery time.

Each ultrasonic cavitation session takes about an hour per area treated. The treatment consists of radio frequency for skin toning and tightening, ultrasound cavitation to reduce fat, and vacuum suction to promote lymphatic drainage. Treatments are  painless, even relaxing, and require no downtime, however, make time for a brisk walk or workout session of at least 20 minutes immediately after your treatment.  This helps your body flush the fatty acids released from within the now depleted fat cells, and is an important part of a successful treatment.

Ultrasonic cavitation risks and side effects are rare, but people with pacemakers, diabetes, cardiac or vascular disease are not candidates.

Once the fat cells are destroyed, they’re gone for good—meaning the results are permanent.

However, you’ll need to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to keep the remaining fat cells from expanding. Ultrasound cavitation is NOT a weight loss procedure, but it is a great tool for achieving your ideal body by eliminating stubborn pockets or areas of fat. Combining ultrasonic cavitation with wood therapy is a complete program of non-invasive fat and cellulite reduction and body sculpting with no downtime and multiple health benefits.

Wood Therapy

Wood therapy is based on an ancient Chinese technique using wood instruments that has been practiced for centuries. During a wood therapy session, the massage therapist works the desired body area using highly-targeted pressure with anatomically-sculpted wooden tools and  special techniques that sculpt the tissues and promote the breakdown of fat and fibrous cellulite so that it can be eliminated naturally with other toxins through the lymphatic system. This treatment helps to contour the body, and facilitates weight loss as the release of toxins jumpstarts metabolism to burn fat.  The manipulation also serves to break down stubborn pockets of cellulite, thereby shrinking disproportionate bulges and smoothing orange-peel dimples. Areas commonly treated are the waist, upper hips (muffin tops), arms, thighs and "saddlebags", buttocks, back and belly.

Wood therapy is non-invasive, with the only contraindications being people who have very thin or fragile skin, or who bruise and/or bleed easily. Those who are on blood thinning medications should check with their doctor before beginning treatments.  Wood therapy comes with a number of added health benefits as well. Treatments can loosen tight, restricted muscles, eliminate toxins from within the tissues, speed metabolism, and  improve the body’s size and proportions.  The lymphatic drainage facilitated by the treatment moves toxins out of the body, sculpts the area being worked, and reduces the dimpled appearance of the skin, and can boost the immune system. Wood therapy pairs wonderfully with ultrasonic cavitation for a complete fat and cellulite reducing, body sculpting, and skin tightening and toning treatment.
